Mary Malin was born into a New York Italian family of “foodies.” For her family, food shopping was an important part of almost everyday. After years of seeing fragile foods and precious items crushed by heavy cans, bottles and other packaging on the way home, Mary was inspired to reinvent the shopping bag, earning a Trademark and two U.S. Design Patents. After much experimentation and many prototypes she succeeded in producing a practical, multifunctional bag that protects, separates and organizes purchases of all kinds and for a multitude of uses.
Her career as a Costume Designer for Motion Pictures, an Emmy Award winner for her work in Television and her learned skills as a Theatrical Set Designer and Painter rounded out her unique blend of talents and technical know-how. She became an expert problem solver, a key to her success in designing, inventing and producing the complete line of Take it EZ® bags. The Take it EZ® system is nothing less than revolutionary, assuring that shopped for groceries, fragile items and an entire range of diverse products can now be taken home safely and conveniently.
